| Turtle Gourds |
| My grandmother has been growing and sculpting out of gourds for years. Naturally, I took on the challenge of turning plain gourds into interesting creations. My most explored gourd sculptures are turtle gourds. Made from the maranka gourd (also called the caveman gourd) I've turned their naturally lumpy surface into turtle shells. Each turtle gourd is handmade, cataloged, and created to look like a specific specie. The breeds are below, but my sculptures aren't limited to these. I can make anything! Just ask if you're interested in one or would like a custom turtle! |
