"Lucky Blue"
8x10" acrylic on wood
(C) Cara Bevan 2011
An experiment with color, blue can symbolize many things. The common thought is sorrow, but I don't
see it that way. There is also tranquility, peace. It's endless, pure, even magical.

This was painted for my cousin, who's living in Raleigh for school. He had to leave his pet bunny, Lucky,
behind. I've met Lucky, and he's not the peaceful rabbit he seems in the painting...in fact, he's a bit
temperamental like a teenage child. But Lucky is at peace, being happy with my aunt,
and waits the return of his human brother.
