Every fall was a closed chapter. She would watch the world change in blinks and wake up to a new year. She had to learn its new rules for what felt like a breath, then in a blink it’d start again. The trees grew by feet, the soil by inches, and herself by hairs. She didn’t know how the world changed, just that it did, and all she had to do was breathe.

"Breathe" is a handmade, one of kind sculpture. It's made of a pear gourd with wire, paperclay and epoxy clay sculpting, custom glass eyes, and hand painted with acrylics. She has a laboradorite cabochon embedded in her chest. She's sealed with a water-resistant sealer, NOT for outside display.

The dreamer series consists of different gourd sculpted animals with recesses or areas where I paint their dreams - be it imagined, aspirations, trials, or real dreams come true. This bear bears an abstract painting of her meditations - slow breaths, in and out.

This sculpture measures 6.5" tall, 3.5" wide, and 4" long.
