‘Do you remember who you were before?’ His voice echoed in his mind on those clear, calm mornings waiting for the sun to rise. ‘Each chapter of your life was a pretty red bloom, eager to see the sun.’ He smiled. ‘You made mistakes, you have regrets, and you got hurt. But you bloomed again. And again. And again.’ He shed a tear as bright as the crying sun, still smiling. ‘And you’re still blooming as you become the person you'll be tomorrow. Be proud of your journey.’

"Remember" is a handmade, one of kind sculpture. It's made of several gourds with wire, paperclay and epoxy clay sculpting, custom glass eyes, and hand painted with acrylics. He has a quartz teardrop backed with marbled gold foil. He's sealed with a water-resistant sealer but he is NOT for outside display.

The dreamer series consists of different gourd sculpted animals with recesses or areas where I paint their dreams - be it imagined, aspirations, trials, or real dreams come true. This raccoon recalls his journey and the collage of versions and paths and lead him to where he is today.

This sculpture measures 11" tall, 6.5" wide, and 7" long.
